Botox is used for three main purposes: muscle spasm control, severe underarm sweating and cosmetic improvement.
In this article we concentrate on the third use, achieved with the product called Botox Cosmetic, which contains botulinum toxin type A, human albumin and sodium chloride.

· Have weakness in your forehead muscles
· Have drooping eyelids

After the Botox injection
After the Botulinum Toxin the patient may return to normal activities. If the physician has ordered serial casting to help stretch the muscles after the Botulinum Toxin injections, these casts will be placed in approximately one to two weeks. A change in the patient’s physical therapy program may also be requested to meet specific goals.
Most patients start to see results from the Botulinum Toxin within five days with maximum results between three to four weeks after the injections.
Usually, Botulinum Toxin provides relief of spasticity in the injected muscle for over three months at which time the patients begin to notice a gradual fading of its effects over several weeks.
Botox side effects
Potential Botox side effects include pain at the injection site, infection, inflammation, swelling, redness, bleeding and bruising. Some of these symptoms may indicate an allergic reaction
Other allergy symptoms are itching, wheezing, asthma, a rash, red welts, dizziness and faintness.
Botox Treatment safe for your eyes?
Botox also is used to treat eye muscle problems and uncontrolled eyelid twitching and it was developed and FDA-approved for these uses with eye safety in mind.
Of course, precautions are necessary to prevent possible Botox Cosmetic side effects such as droopy eyelids, double vision, blurred vision, decreased eyesight, eyelid swelling and dry eyes.
