Types of PDO Thread lifting, Miami
PDO thread lift, Miami is an effective cosmetic technique that lifts
and tighten sagging skin tissues by inducing collagen production. The threads
are made of a material called Polydioxanone (PDO). PDO has over a decade long
safety track record in surgery and wound closure. It involves the implantation
of fine, absorbable polydioxanone threads into the subcutaneous layer of the
skin using small needles.
These
threads remain implanted in the skin causing micro-injuries that stimulate
collagen synthesis and tissue contraction. After six months, the threads will
be absorbed into the body leaving new collagen in their place. The procedures are
usually carried out using local anaesthetic, and takes between 45 and 60
minutes depending on the treatment area. Side effects are minimal but may
include swelling and bruising that lasts 2-3 days, and patients can continue
with normal activities immediately after.
PDO therapy can be used on the cheeks, brow, jawline,
neck, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, arms, thighs and abdomen. The lifting
effect is at its peak after 6 months when collagen has formed around the
threads, and lasts between 2-3 years.

Jawline
Thread lift
The
procedure involves injecting threads under the skin at various points in the face
and neck and then pulling them, marionette-style, to lift the jaw and neckline.
During the treatment, plasma from the patient's own blood is injected to boost
skin cell migration. Far less invasive than a full-on face lift and requiring
only local anaesthetic, it can now, quite literally, be performed in a lunch
break. And if done well it can last up to two years.
PLLA threads
PLLA
stands for poly-L-lactic acid. PLLA threads are a relatively new option for thread
lifting a procedure which works to physically lift the facial structure and
tissues into a higher and more youthful position., a substance which has been
used for many years in Sculpture, an injectable facial rejuvenation
treatment which works to stimulate collagen for a younger look. Compared to
injectable treatments, thread lifting is a procedure which directly addresses
the structure of the face through an immediate lifting effect, accompanied by a
longer-term regeneration of collagen and natural volume.
Face Lifting
Energy
transfer is when energy of some type warms the deep facial tissues causing some
tightening of the face. This is only considered mildly effective in a pretty
small percentage of people. It has it place in some cases but not the normal
route taken. Injectable Fillers, which is when fillers are used to restore
and reshape facial volume to give a more youthful look.
This
can help to achieve a mini face lift by adding volume to achieve skin
tightening although it can’t replicate all the details of a surgical face lift.
Lasers, Chemical Peels have been around for a while. With newer lasers downtime
and side effects are decreased. This only treats the face in appearance as it
does not achieve face lift or added volume.
Eyebrow Thread Lift
Face thread lifts gradually stimulate collagen production to
restore facial volume and smooth out deep lines and wrinkles. At skin we use a brand
called Silhouette Soft thread lifts. Silhouette Soft is designed to treat the
signs of ageing and give you a naturally refreshed appearance. It is suitable
for men and women and offers a unique dual effect – the immediate lift and the
long-term collagen regeneration. Silhouette Soft is made from resorbable
polylactic acid sutures, which dissolve to help stimulate your skin’s own
collagen production. The threads are inserted under the skin using a needle,
to elevate the sagging tissue in problem areas.
