Introduction Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) has been the gold standard bariatric procedure since its introduction. In recent years, endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty (ESG) has been equally effective in achieving comparable weight loss and resolution of comorbidities but with a lower complication rate. While LSG is performed through an open abdominal incision, ESG can be accomplished through a smaller point-cut port incision which does not require general anesthesia or sedation.
